There are 40 golf courses in Normandy, open all year around, peppered throughout the region from Dieppe to Granville and from Cherbourg to Bellême. 12 of them enjoy sea views, and several of them boast a long history, having been founded nearly a century ago.

Designed by some of the biggest names – Tom Simpson, Bill Baker, Yves Bureau, Fred Hawtree, Robin Nelson, Colt and Alison – these courses can be found in some exceptionally fine locations: by the sea, on cliff-tops, amid sand dunes, in woodland and among the hedgerows of the rolling Normandy countryside.

Every year, the choice just gets better as some courses are enlarged or enhanced. Courses such as Etretat and Omaha Beach offer breathtaking panoramic coastal views, whilst those at Fontenay-sur-Mer, Cabourg and Granville are amid the sandy dunes.

In the heart of lush green meadows, on wooded hillsides or along rivers and beside lakes, Normandy’s other courses, like Vire in the bocage, provide different challenges to keen golfers against a stunning background.

The courses are all open to non-members, and offer both short-breaks and golfing holidays.
