LA LUZERNE

Back to basics at Vieux Château Farm

Un retour à l’essentiel à la Ferme du Vieux Château
Manche
From240

Collect the eggs, bring the cattle in from the field, and watch the milking… the whole family will find itself involved in farm life. Your holiday home with its huge granite fireplace and its well thought out décor is a gem. It can house 9 people and has everything you need for a baby.Converted from an outbuilding of the old castle of which only the gate and tower still remain, your 3 star holiday home is a perfect marvel of period charm with modern comfort. The interior has been decorated with care but hasn’t detracted from its rural charm. Just from the names of the bedrooms, you get a taste of the peace of the Normandy countryside: “Flower of the Fields”, “Queen of The Meadows”, “Rose of the Winds” etc. Here great care has been taken to ensure that you and your tribe will feel at home. It’s like being at home but with many ways to relax even so! Like the monumental granite fireplace in front of which you will enjoy being together this winter with a roaring wood fire. Or the extensive fenced grounds which will give pleasure to adults and children alike. When you arrive you will be greeted like friends. Maryse, your hostess, will give you a warm welcome with apple cake, cider, farm milk and a bouquet of flowers. A believer in sustainable farming, Denis will explain how he takes care of the environment. Your children will be able to play the role of little farmers taking care of a baby rabbit, feeding Biquette, collecting eggs or even going to fetch the cattle in from the field. A real back to basics for the whole family!... read more
