Come and immerse yourselves in the Equestrian world by spending a night in a hunting lodge and visiting the Pin National stud. Are you fascinated by “Man’s most difficult conquest”? If so, you will most definitely appreciate this holiday! Orne has no less than 2500 stud farms and is the birthplace of many Arc de Triomphe and Prix d’Amérique cup winners. You will spend the night in exceptional surroundings, a stylish hunting lodge from the turn of the 18th and19th centuries. The green setting adds to the tranquil atmosphere- perfect for a relaxing break ! There is no lack of things to do, with tennis courts, pool table, heated swimming pool and various fishing lakes. What’s more, it isn’t rare to spot a deer or two roaming around freely! But it’s the horses’ neigh that you won’t be able to resist! Nearby is le Pin national stud farm, built at the request of Louis XIV and given the apt nickname of the “Versailles of the Horse world”! Given French excellence in horse breeding, the farm houses 11 types of horse. As well as being the leading French centre of equine studies, conservation and breeding, the farm is also the theatre for many equestrian activities. A guided visit to the museum will allow you to improve your knowledge and quench your thirst for information! The optional horse drawn carriage ride will surely add to the charm of this interesting break.... read more
